Key requirements:
Must have previous logistics dispatching experience. Previous experience dispatching tanker trucks, CDL drivers, trucking, transportation, or logistics is highly preferred. Must be familiar with Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas. Must be able to effectively maneuver and coordinate trucks and drivers to optimize equipment utilization. Experience using GPS tracking or fleet management systems is preferred. All company trucks are GPS-enabled and visible on the computer for tracking purposes. Must be highly organized and able to multitask effectively. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and make quick decisions. Ability to communicate professionally with drivers, customers, and management. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Must be dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in the oil & gas, construction, environmental, or industrial transportation industries is a plus.
Shifts:
5:30 AM - 3:30 PM Monday through Friday On call every third week and weekend, including nights (bonus offered for on call)
