About the Role As a Dispatcher in Athol, you will play a crucial role in coordinating transit operations, ensuring efficient communication between drivers and the transit hub, and providing exceptional service to our riders.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate daily transit routes and driver schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers via radio, phone, and digital systems.
  • Monitor transit vehicle locations and adjust routes as necessary to ensure on-time performance.
  • Handle rider inquiries, resolve service issues, and maintain detailed logs of transit operations.
  • Collaborate with the broader MART operations team to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment for both staff and passengers.
What You Bring:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and dispatching software/technology.
  • Availability for part-time hours as required by transit schedules.
  • A commitment to safety, reliability, and excellent customer service.
