A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DISPATCHER

You're based in our office, full-time and on-site, working alongside a small team of Customer Service Representatives, who are all focused on the same thing: taking care of our customers. Together, you're answering calls, building and adjusting the schedule, and coordinating our technicians throughout the day. Calls come in, and it's on office staff to figure out what the customer actually needs; if is this an emergency, can it wait until tomorrow, does it need a specialist or will any tech do. You're weighing location, urgency, and who's already tied up on a job across town, and working with your team to keep the whole operation moving without wasting a trip. When a job runs long or a technician is running, you're already on it, calling the customer before they have to wonder where their technician is. You may also the daily or weekly schedule starting to slip and adjust it early, so it doesn't result in coordination issues and frustrated customers. Every day looks a little different, but the goal stays the same: technicians who know exactly where they need to be, and customers who feel looked after from the first call to the last.

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong phone communication; you can explain, reassure, and redirect without sounding scripted Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Familiarity with dispatch or service management software (e.g., ServiceTitan) is a plus Basic knowledge of home service trades preferred Able to reprioritize on the fly without losing track of what's already in motion Comfortable learning new digital tools and systems
