Job Responsibilities:

Job Duties:

Entering customers contacts, rate confirmations and answering multi phone lines. Keep tabs on the weather at all drivers' locations to be able to flag potential issues, typically with the aid of numerous computer programs. Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes. Communicating with customers/brokers about freight details, delivery or pickup times, and special handling requests. Determine the best delivery methods and negotiate rates directly with vendors and customers, and get the necessary documents and permits that drivers will need when shipping certain freight. Coordinate and manage the most efficient loads to remain cost-effective as a company, combining shipments based on their routes and timeline to minimize how many trucks and drivers are out. Keep records, monitoring drivers' daily logs for errors or violations and monitoring their working hours and equipment availability. Act as a communication liaison through the Peoplenet system and answer incoming phone calls from drivers on the road. Planning pre-determined routes and accommodating route changes as needed. Preparing dispatch documents, such as rate confirmations and passing them along to billing department. Keeping track of transportation regulations and laws to ensure that truck drivers comply. Reviewing drivers' logs, including dispatched calls and arrival times. Working as a Team Member of the Company.

Skills and Qualifications:
