Job Description

AFO is looking for a Motor Vehicle Dispatcher to work in Fort Sill, OK. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! Motor Vehicle Dispatcher is the role responsible for coordinating and dispatching vehicles and drivers to ensure safe, efficient, and timely transportation of personnel, equipment, materials, and supplies, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and contract requirements. Responsibilities Receive and prioritize transportation requests from customers, departments, or supervisors. Assign drivers and vehicles based on schedules, availability, route efficiency, and operational needs. Monitor vehicle locations and driver status via radios, phones, GPS, or dispatch software. Maintain continuous communication with drivers for routing, schedule updates, and operational instructions. Track vehicle movements and respond to delays, emergencies, or service disruptions. Prepare and update dispatch logs, trip records, driver assignments, and transportation schedules. Coordinate vehicle maintenance scheduling to minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and DOT requirements. Verify transportation documentation, trip tickets, mileage reports, and fuel usage records. Knowledge of US Military safety regulations and DOT requirements. Strong record‑keeping and reporting skills. Effective communication with drivers, customers, and maintenance management. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent. One to Two (1-2) years' experience in vehicle maintenance or operations as the worker, helper, or apprentice level, preferred. Must be able to obtain Forklift license for all equipment (4K to 50K) Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening. Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation result, obtain and maintain a CAC. Applicant must possess a REAL ID-compliant, state-issued driver's license. Experience with Military Vehicles, and the US Army Maintenance System is preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Work is generally conducted in a shop environment. Duties may involve the conduct of work outside with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Work will require lifting up to 50lbs; stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, and sitting.
Wage Rate and Health & Welfare Benefits:
SCA approved $20.25/HR and $5.09/HR Health and Welfare Benefits. Job
