Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating emergency and non-emergency calls, ensuring effective communication between field personnel and management. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism. Responsibilities Manage incoming calls using multi-line phone systems, providing excellent phone etiquette and customer service. Utilize GPS technologies to track vehicles and dispatch personnel efficiently. Conduct phone triage to assess the urgency of requests and prioritize dispatching accordingly. Maintain accurate data entry and transcription of call details into our dispatch system. Collaborate with law enforcement, medical personnel, and other agencies as needed. Apply knowledge of medical terminology, first aid, and EMT experience to assist callers effectively. Demonstrate conflict management skills to resolve issues that may arise during calls or dispatching. Analyze information quickly to make informed decisions in real-time situations. Negotiate with various stakeholders to ensure optimal outcomes for all parties involved. Experience Candidates should possess a background that includes: Knowledge of GPS systems for effective mapping and routing. Previous experience in dispatching or related fields is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly. Proficiency in typing and data entry to maintain accurate records. Experience in law enforcement or security is a plus. This position requires a proactive individual who can work independently while also functioning as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
