Transportation Dispatcher TLC Rides LLC is seeking a dependable, organized, and professional Transportation Dispatcher to support our daily transportation operations. The Transportation Dispatcher serves as a central point of communication between passengers, healthcare facilities, drivers, and management. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable answering phones, scheduling transportation, communicating with drivers, monitoring trips, and making adjustments when unexpected situations arise. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming calls professionally and provide excellent customer service. Schedule transportation requests and collect all necessary trip information, including passenger name, pickup location, destination, appointment time, mobility needs, and contact information. Enter trip information accurately into the scheduling and dispatch system. Assign and dispatch scheduled trips to available drivers. Communicate pickup times, destinations, special instructions, and schedule changes to drivers. Monitor the daily transportation schedule to help ensure passengers are picked up and dropped off safely and on time. Respond promptly to driver reports of delays, traffic, vehicle issues, extended appointments, or other unexpected situations. Adjust the schedule as needed, including reassigning trips to available drivers when possible. Communicate delays, cancellations, or schedule changes to passengers and facilities when necessary. Maintain clear and consistent communication with drivers and management throughout the day. Maintain accurate notes and documentation regarding trips, cancellations, delays, and schedule changes. Help ensure daily transportation operations run efficiently and smoothly. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Qualifications and Skills The ideal candidate is: Dependable and punctual. Organized and detail-oriented. Professional and customer-service focused. Able to remain calm and professional under pressure. A strong verbal and written communicator. Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Able to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions when multiple issues arise. Comfortable working with computers, scheduling systems, phones, and other office technology. Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following areas is preferred but not required : Transportation dispatching Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Medical transportation Scheduling Customer service Healthcare Logistics or fleet operations Training will be provided to the right candidate.
