The ideal candidate will manage and communicate effectively with drivers and clients, and utilize advanced transportation management systems to ensure timely and efficient delivery. This role requires strong analysis skills, proficiency in various software platforms, and excellent communication abilities to support our logistics operations and fleet management. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule using transportation management systems such as Towbooks. Utilize GPS technology for route planning, tracking, and optimizing transportation routes. Manage dispatching activities for fleet vehicles, ensuring adherence to schedules and delivery deadlines. Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette. Perform data entry related to shipping & receiving, freight documentation, and transportation records with accuracy. Monitor shipment statuses using GPS and transportation management tools to provide real-time updates. Analyze transportation data to identify efficiencies, resolve issues, and improve overall logistics performance. Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, vehicle logs, and freight documentation for compliance purposes. Requirements Strong knowledge of GPS technology, and transportation planning principles. Proficient in data entry, typing skills, and operating multi-line phone systems. Strong communication skills with the ability to handle phone etiquette professionally. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
