Dispatch Manager Propane Company Ritchie Propane is currently looking for a highly motivated, self-driven Dispatcher. This candidate will be responsible for handling the day-to-day routing and dispatching of propane delivery drivers in our automated software. This position interfaces with drivers and customers every day to ensure all customers receive their propane & fuel oil in a timely and professional manner. We are looking for a team player, who works well in a fast paced environment and has exceptional organizational skills. Experience in the propane and fuel industry a plus! This role serves as a central point of communication between customers, drivers, and office staff to ensure safe, timely, and efficient propane deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Schedule and dispatch propane deliveries based on customer needs, route efficiency, and driver availability Monitor delivery routes and adjust schedules as needed due to weather, emergencies, or operational changes Assist with tank monitoring related to tank levels Communicate clearly with drivers regarding routes, delivery priorities, safety concerns, and customer instructions Provides CSR support as needed to new and existing customers, and communicates regularly with customers in a helpful, respectful and professional manner that builds value and trust Answer inbound customer calls, respond to delivery inquiries, and resolve scheduling issues professionally Enter, update, and maintain accurate customer and delivery information in dispatch or Software systems Coordinate will-call, automatic delivery, and emergency delivery requests Work closely with operations, sales, and billing teams to ensure accurate and timely service Maintain compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and propane safety standards Understands and communicates safety policies as they relate to our customers and employees Ability to be a positive representative of the Company both internally and externally Assist with after-hours or emergency dispatching as required Perform other administrative or operational duties assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous dispatching experience preferred (propane, fuel, transportation, or logistics experience a plus) Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and customer service skills Proficiency with computers, and develop a solid understanding of our various software applications Ability to problem-solve quickly and make sound decisions under pressure Knowledge of local geography and routing is preferred Ability to work flexible hours, including peak seasons and occasional weekends or on-call shifts Physical & Work Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer Ability to communicate clearly by phone Office-based role with occasional operational coordination Benefits include : Competitive Pay Medical, dental and vision care 401(k) and profit sharing More!

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent experience 2 + years of Dispatcher experience Familiarity with dispatching equipment/software Ability to handle multiple priorities and situations Propane/Fuel experience
