Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Operations Analyst / Construction Manager with 9+ years of experience to join a 12-month contract position providing daily on-site field support for a major, high-visibility space-industry infrastructure effort in Cape Canaveral, FL. In this role, you will serve as a key field representative working inside a specialized rocket-processing facility—monitoring construction progress, coordinating directly with contractors, and connecting field activities with engineering and design teams to keep the project aligned and moving forward.

$54.00 - $64.00 per hour This is a hands-on, field-based coordination role focusing on daily construction oversight, progress verification, and clear technical communication between field contractors and office engineering teams. Operating in a uniquely technical environment, success in this role comes from being present in the field every day, staying aware of evolving construction activities, and proactively gathering the information needed to close systems engineering requirements and support launch-vehicle ground system integration.

Key Responsibilities:
Field Representation & Verification:

Serve as a daily on-site field representative to monitor construction progress, verify completed work, identify issues, and support active project coordination.

RFI & Submittal Management:

Track, organize, and coordinate Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, design documents, and official project records.

Scheduling & Tracking:

Maintain and update project schedules, status reports, action items, and trackers using Microsoft Project and Excel.

Engineering & Contractor Liaison:

Capture field questions and bring clear, actionable information back to design teams while gathering necessary evidence to close out systems engineering requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Coordinate daily across engineering, construction, contractor, and operations personnel to ensure smooth workflow and alignment.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:

9+ years supporting engineering, construction, operations, or project execution.

Software Proficiency:

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, and standard Microsoft Office tools.

Document & Schedule Control:

Proven ability to manage RFIs, submittals, action-item trackers, and project schedules.

Field Capability:

Comfortable working in the field daily to verify status, observe evolving site conditions, and solve coordination issues.

Soft Skills:

Exceptional organizational, communication, and follow-through abilities with a track record of effective cross-functional coordination.

Industry Context:

Experience in industrial, construction, aerospace, heavy infrastructure, or similar specialized facility environments is highly preferred.

This position requires access to information subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined in
