This role is responsible for ensuring residents receive nutritious, appealing, and well-balanced meals while maintaining high standards of food safety, service, and hospitality. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, organizational skills, and a resident-centered approach to dining services. Responsibilities Oversee daily dining operations, including meal planning, food preparation, service, and sanitation standards. Collaborate with nursing, wellness, and care teams to address special diets and individualized nutrition needs. Supervise, train, and support dining services team members to promote quality service and operational consistency. Monitor inventory, ordering, storage, and cost controls to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Maintain compliance with applicable health, safety, and food handling regulations. Conduct regular quality checks to ensure food presentation, taste, portioning, and service standards are met. Respond to resident feedback and work to enhance satisfaction with dining experiences. Schedule staff appropriately to meet operational needs and ensure reliable service coverage. Support inspections, audits, and documentation related to food service operations. Qualifications Experience in food service management, hospitality leadership, or a related role, preferably in senior living, healthcare, or a similar environment. Knowledge of nutrition principles, special diets, and food safety best practices. Strong leadership and team development skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments. Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and maintain accurate records. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced, resident-focused setting.
