Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Office Manager to lead the financial operations within a skilled nursing facility. This pivotal role involves overseeing billing processes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, managing revenue cycle activities, and supervising a dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare billing management, medical coding, and hospital revenue cycle management, coupled with excellent leadership skills. Join us to drive operational excellence, optimize revenue streams, and support the delivery of high-quality patient care through efficient financial stewardship. Responsibilities Monitors billing and collection activities. Assures proper accounting procedures and controls are in place and followed. Analyzes collections on a monthly basis. Assesses level of bad debt reserves, reviews and recommends write-offs. Ensures procedures are followed to achieve an accurate and timely closing at month end. Ensures all required records are maintained and submitted, as appropriate, in an accurate and timely manner and in compliance with federal and state regulations. Skills Extensive knowledge of medical billing regulations compliance and healthcare billing management practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and documentation purposes. Experience with billing software systems used in healthcare settings; familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is essential. Strong understanding of Medicaid and Medicare regulations affecting skilled nursing facilities. Proven ability to manage teams effectively within a healthcare environment; excellent leadership skills are essential. Deep understanding of hospital revenue cycle management processes and health insurance procedures. Knowledge of medical coding standards including ICD coding for accurate diagnosis and procedure documentation. Ability to navigate complex insurance third-party billing requirements efficiently while maintaining compliance standards.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration / Accounting preferred. Minimum of three (3) years experience in third party billing / collections with at least one (1) year experience in a supervisory capacity required. Proficient in the use of a personal computer.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Participates in (or conducts) company-sponsored training to safeguard against improper use and disclosure of resident's protected health information. Monitors and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures and state and federal law. Pay:
$55,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
