Overview Augusta Staffing Associates is recruiting an experienced Facility Technician for a large warehouse facility in Thomson, GA. In this role, you will help maintain the facility . Your primary focus will be keeping our systems running smoothly, addressing building repairs, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for everyone inside and outside the facility.
Responsibilities System Maintenance:
Perform quality checks and routine maintenance on HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Building Repairs:
Handle indoor and outdoor building repairs, including basic carpentry, fixing structural damage (such as doors, windows, and walls), and painting faded or chipped areas.
Plumbing:
Address leaks, clogs, drainage issues, and repair broken fixtures to avoid water damage.
Safety & Security:
Actively check and respond to safety issues, fixing potential hazards immediately to prevent workplace injuries.
Groundskeeping & Upkeep:
Perform landscaping, basic outdoor maintenance, pest control, and change lightbulbs throughout the facility as needed.
Preventative Action:
Apply preventative measures across the facility to reduce the risk of future system or structural problems. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or residential building upkeep. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on skills in electrical work, plumbing system maintenance and repair, HVAC system repair, welding, carpentry, and painting. Familiarity with schematics, electrical equipment repair, plumbing systems, and HVAC components. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, schematics reading skills, and testing devices like ohmmeters. Experience with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), CMMS software, and building interior maintenance procedures. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective teamwork. Valid technical certifications related to electrical work or HVAC systems are preferred but not mandatory.
