The Assistant Business and Facilities Director plays a critical role in working with the current Business & Facilities Director to help ensure financial stability for the organization through the effective management of agency business operations. Their leadership promotes a mission-driven success of the agency and provides job seekers with opportunities for career development, training and employment. Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: oversee the delivery of quality business services that meet customers needs, expand client training and generate financial support for the organization; maintain effective working relationships with customers, business partners, and vendors; negotiate and monitor pricing related to products and expenses; provide oversight and direction to staff. Coordinates schedules to meet workforce demands and the achievement of organizational goals; facilitate regularly scheduled departmental meetings to facilitate open communication, report progress on goals and build relationships; coordinate facility and equipment maintenance and trouble-shoots related issues; maintain up-to-date records and other documentation to demonstrate outcomes and progress toward strategic goals; carry out additional responsibilities as identified and assigned by the Business & Facilities Director. Associate's Degree or a combination of education and relevant experience equivalent to an Associate's Degree is required. Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, orally and in writing. Must be computer literate with proficient skills in the use of email, Word and Excel. Must be self-directed, highly motivated worker who can work independently. Willingness to work on all shifts, weekends and holidays if necessary to help ensure supported employee retention. Must possess a valid CDL license or be willing to get one. Ability to anticipate problems and develop contingency plans to deal with them as well as evaluate and implement alternative courses of action. Willingness to participate in community activities to promote the mission of 43 North Iowa. Must have the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
