$140,000-$160,000 base + bonus Overview A century-old, family-owned personal care products manufacturer is adding a Facilities Manager to take full ownership of facility systems and infrastructure at a large, automated production campus in the Bedford Park area. This is a newly created position built to bring dedicated engineering leadership to a complex facility that has outgrown a generalist approach. The operation produces shampoo, lotion, conditioner, and a broad range of personal care products at scale. The company is specifically looking for someone who comes from a manufacturing environment and understands how large industrial facilities operate from the inside. What the Job Involves
Oversee all facility functions including HVAC, boilers, stationary engineering, building maintenance, and related systems
Manage on-site contractors across multiple trades including electrical and civil work, ensuring all projects meet facility standards, timelines, and safety requirements
Manage on-site wastewater treatment systems and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance
Develop and oversee capital project budgets, scopes, and schedules for infrastructure upgrades and facility improvements
Ensure adherence to applicable codes, OSHA requirements, and safety standards throughout the facility
Identify facility improvement opportunities and lead implementation from concept through completion What They Need
BS/BA degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred or an equivalent combination of maintenance certifications and 5+ years of facilities management leadership in a manufacturing setting
7+ years of plant or facilities management experience in a manufacturing environment required
Must come from manufacturing
Hands-on experience with facility systems including HVAC, boilers, and electrical distribution
Proven track record managing contractors across multiple trades simultaneously
Strong project management skills including budgeting, scheduling, and contractor coordination
Stationary Engineer license preferred
Strong communicator who can work across departments and with diverse teams
