Job Description

The Green River District Health Department is accepting applications for a full-time Facilities and Special Projects Manager located at our District Office in Owensboro, KY. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Supervising staff involved in building maintenance, repair and custodial services. Overseeing preventative maintenance and compliance with safety and ADA standards. Coordinating with contractors for building and grounds projects. Developing and monitoring the facilities budget and requesting capital expenditures. Leading special projects related to facility improvements, repairs or construction. Participating in agency risk management efforts and supporting OSHA compliance. Managing agency fleet vehicle coordination and upkeep. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Five (5) years of experience in general building maintenance, facilities operations, construction or project management. Experience should include the ability to identify and address issues related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC or other building systems. Formal training in facilities management, construction technology, engineering or a related field may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.

Compensation:

Negotiable based on experience.
