Facility Manager - Concord, NH Seacoast Scaffold & Equipment is seeking an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Facility Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of our Concord, New Hampshire location . This position is responsible for keeping the facility, warehouse, yard, equipment, and personnel organized, productive, and operating safely. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their location, can manage people effectively, and is willing to work alongside the team when necessary. Responsibilities Manage the daily operation of the Concord warehouse, yard, and facility Supervise warehouse and yard personnel Coordinate daily workload and establish priorities for employees Ensure scaffold and equipment orders are accurately picked, staged, loaded, returned, and put away Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse and yard Oversee receiving and inspection of returned rental equipment Ensure damaged or missing equipment is identified and properly documented Assist with maintaining accurate equipment and inventory counts Coordinate incoming and outgoing freight and customer pickups Work closely with dispatch, project management, sales, and other company locations to meet operational needs Ensure trucks and trailers are loaded safely and efficiently Monitor facility, forklift, vehicle, trailer, and equipment maintenance needs Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance as necessary Maintain appropriate supplies and materials for the facility Enforce company safety policies and maintain a strong safety culture Conduct routine facility and yard safety inspections Ensure employees are following proper material-handling and equipment procedures Address employee performance, attendance, and productivity issues Train and develop warehouse and yard employees Identify opportunities to improve productivity, organization, and operating efficiency Assist customers and vendors as necessary Secure the facility and ensure company property is properly protected Communicate operational issues promptly to senior management Qualifications Previous experience supervising employees in a warehouse, construction, equipment rental, building materials, trucking, or similar industrial environment Strong organizational and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Comfortable holding employees accountable for performance, safety, attendance, and quality of work Mechanically inclined and comfortable working around trucks, trailers, forklifts, and construction equipment Strong communication and problem-solving skills Basic computer skills Valid driver's license Forklift experience preferred Scaffold or construction-equipment experience is a plus, but not required Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on management position. The Facility Manager must be able to: Regularly work both indoors and outdoors Work in varying New England weather conditions Walk and stand for extended periods Bend, climb, reach, and perform physical tasks associated with warehouse and yard operations Safely lift and handle construction materials and equipment as required Work around forklifts, trucks, trailers, and heavy construction equipment What We're Looking For The right person for this position will be someone who takes ownership of the operation . We are looking for a manager who notices when something is out of place and corrects it, keeps employees productive without needing constant direction, maintains high standards for safety and organization, and understands that the condition and efficiency of the facility directly affect the rest of the company. This is not a desk-only management position. The Facility Manager is expected to be present in the warehouse and yard, understand what is happening throughout the operation, and lead by example. About Seacoast Scaffold & Equipment Seacoast Scaffold & Equipment is a New England provider of scaffolding, shoring, temporary access, and related equipment and services. Our business includes equipment rental and sales as well as scaffold erection and dismantling services. We operate multiple locations throughout New England and are looking for a strong Facility Manager to take responsibility for our Concord operation and help us continue to improve its safety, organization, productivity, and customer service.
