Facilities ManagerTamarack Day Camp | Randolph, NJHelp maintain one of New Jersey's premier day camp properties. Tamarack Day Camp is seeking an experienced, hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee the care, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our beautiful 37-acre campus .Our property welcomes hundreds of campers and staff each day during the summer and includes: Two swimming pools Athletic fields and courts A ropes challenge course Archery range Nature areas Numerous program buildings and pavilions Dining facilities Maintenance buildings Roads, parking lots, walking paths, and more. Every day, our campus serves as the backdrop for thousands of childhood memories. We're looking for someone who takes pride in creating an environment that is clean, safe, organized, and beautiful. About the Role This is far more than a maintenance position.

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, leading projects, managing vendors, planning improvements, and taking ownership of an entire property.

The Facilities Manager works closely with the Camp Director to maintain the campus year-round while supervising seasonal maintenance staff during the summer months.
Responsibilities Responsibilities include:
Managing the overall appearance and upkeep of our 37-acre campus Performing general repairs and preventative maintenance Coordinating outside contractors and vendors Supervising seasonal maintenance employees Maintaining maintenance budgets and tracking project expenses Managing landscaping, mowing, planting, trimming, and seasonal cleanup Snow removal and winter property maintenance Opening and winterizing buildings and systems Maintaining HVAC filters, water treatment systems, irrigation, and other infrastructure Preparing camp for summer operations, special events, open houses, and family programs Responding to facility emergencies when necessary Ensuring buildings are secure, clean, operational, and ready each day Identifying long-term facility improvements and helping execute capital projects We're Looking For Someone Who... Takes pride in their work and notices the details others miss. Is organized and communicates exceptionally well. Can prioritize multiple projects without losing sight of the big picture. Is comfortable managing vendors and seasonal employees. Has strong handyman skills, including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs. Enjoys working outdoors and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. Wants to build something—not just maintain it. Seasonal Rhythm No two months look the same.
