full-time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Facilities / Maintenance Manager to oversee facility maintenance, plant engineering, equipment reliability, and capital improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for leading maintenance operations, supporting production needs, managing facility systems and utilities, coordinating equipment installations and capital projects, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained facility. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to lead maintenance teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Lead, schedule, and coordinate daily maintenance activities to support production, quality, safety, and operational goals. Oversee maintenance and operation of facility systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, utilities, compressed air/gases, water, refrigeration, and related infrastructure. Manage capital equipment installations, facility upgrades, and engineering projects, ensuring projects meet established quality, safety, budget, and timeline requirements. Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Maintain appropriate inventories of maintenance supplies, spare parts, and critical equipment components. Coordinate external contractors, vendors, and engineering service providers as needed. Support maintenance department staffing, onboarding, training, employee development, performance management, and team engagement. Required Qualifications & Skills Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance. Proven experience leading maintenance, facilities, or plant engineering operations. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Proven experience managing and developing maintenance or technical teams. Ability to work effectively with operations teams, management, contractors, vendors, and technical personnel. Hands-on approach with the ability to work alongside technical teams when needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience with capital projects, equipment installations, and facility improvements. Experience developing and managing maintenance or capital budgets. Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Familiarity with continuous improvement and workplace organization methodologies. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field preferred. Advanced degree such as an MS or MBA is a plus. 10+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, plant engineering, or a related manufacturing/industrial environment preferred. Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, automated, and computer-controlled manufacturing systems.
