What You Will Do The Facility Superintendent is responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of Trumark's 24 locations. This hands-on role oversees preventive maintenance, coordinates repairs, manages contractors, and ensures our facilities remain operational, compliant, and well-maintained. Success in this position requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize work across multiple locations while responding to both planned and unexpected facility needs.
You will:
Perform preventive maintenance to keep building systems operating safely and efficiently. Inspect facilities, identify maintenance needs, and coordinate timely repairs. Complete a variety of hands-on maintenance tasks, including light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and general building repairs. Support HVAC troubleshooting and continue developing expertise with automated building systems. Manage capital improvement projects and oversee contractors to ensure quality work and compliance with project requirements. Coordinate and monitor vendor services, including landscaping and snow removal, to ensure contractual expectations are met. Respond to facility emergencies and remain available for on-call support to address urgent building issues. Conduct annual facility inspections and recommend upgrades or improvements that enhance safety, functionality, and appearance. Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and obtain materials needed for repairs and projects. Ensure facilities comply with applicable safety standards, building requirements, and organizational expectations. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and project documentation. Partner with internal departments to prioritize facility needs and communicate project updates. Participate in required training, including annual compliance education and ongoing professional development. What You Bring to the Table Education High school diploma or GED required Experience Five or more years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or facility management. Experience performing preventive maintenance and coordinating building repairs across multiple locations preferred. Experience managing vendors and contractors preferred. Skills Strong knowledge of facility maintenance, building operations, and safety practices. Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general building systems. Ability to troubleshoot facility issues and determine effective repair solutions. Experience coordinating vendor services and monitoring contractor performance. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and work orders. Ability to maintain maintenance records, inventory, and documentation. Working knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and facility standards. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with employees, vendors, and contractors. Proficiency using Microsoft Office and facility management systems.
