This role manages maintenance staff and outside contractors, ensures the facility supports uninterrupted manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of the building, grounds, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, and other facility systems. Develop and execute a preventive maintenance program for facility infrastructure and utility systems to minimize unplanned downtime. Supervise facilities/maintenance technicians and coordinate outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and projects. Manage facility-related capital projects, including scoping, bidding, budgeting, and contractor oversight through completion. Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, fire/life safety, and building code requirements; maintain required permits, inspections, and records. Partner with EHS and Operations to support safety programs, incident investigations, and corrective actions related to the physical plant. Manage facility budget, including utilities, maintenance contracts, supplies, and capital expenditures. Maintain building security systems, badge access, and emergency preparedness/response plans. Coordinate space planning and layout changes to support manufacturing, equipment moves, and headcount growth. Maintain relationships with landlords, utility providers, and local authorities having jurisdiction, as applicable. Respond to facility emergencies (power outages, equipment failures, weather events) outside normal business hours as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and facilities/maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. 5+ years of facilities or plant maintenance management experience, preferably in an aerospace or industrial manufacturing setting. Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, compressed air, fire suppression) and applicable codes/regulations (OSHA, NFPA, local building codes). Experience managing maintenance technicians and outside contractors, including budgeting and vendor negotiation. Familiarity with environmental compliance requirements (air permits, wastewater, hazardous waste) a plus. Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and standard office software (Excel, Word). Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize across competing facility needs. Physical & Work Environment Primarily based at the PMI manufacturing facility, with regular time on the shop floor, mechanical rooms, roof, and grounds. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights as needed. Availability outside normal business hours to respond to facility emergencies. Use of standard PPE required in designated production and mechanical areas. Other Requirements This position may require access to information subject to U.S. export control regulations (ITAR/EAR).
