Job Description

Role Overview We are looking for a proactive Facilities Specialist to oversee the day-to-day upkeep of our manufacturing plant. Your primary objective is to keep our workspace running smoothly by handling building repairs, equipment assembly, and general facility support. We need a reliable, mechanically skilled individual who is ready to tackle a diverse range of maintenance tasks to keep our operations efficient and secure. Compensation and Details This is a contract-to-hire position located in West Columbia, SC. You will work a consistent 1st shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, at a rate of $19 per hour. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off and coverage for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Primary Responsibilities Construct and assemble production equipment, including shelving units, workbenches, and workstations. Help optimize our floor layout by reconfiguring office and production spaces to meet evolving operational demands. Execute routine building repairs such as wall patching, painting, and light carpentry work. Provide support for minor plumbing, electrical, and HVAC system maintenance. Contribute to the execution of scheduled preventative maintenance tasks across the site. Address incoming maintenance tickets and facility service requests in a timely manner. Promote a tidy and hazard-free workplace to ensure the safety of all personnel. Collaborate with various departments to ensure facility improvements do not disrupt production workflows. Ensure full compliance with all established safety protocols and organizational guidelines. Required Qualifications A high school diploma or its equivalent is preferred. Prior background in a manufacturing, maintenance, or facilities-related environment is desired. Familiarity with the fundamentals of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems is advantageous. Proficiency in the safe and proper operation of various hand and power tools. Strong mechanical reasoning and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively. Capacity to manage multiple tasks independently while following specific project instructions. A dependable track record of attendance and a dedicated professional approach.
