Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing all nursing operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining quality resident care, and developing a positive, team-focused culture. If you are a strong clinical leader with skilled nursing experience and a passion for excellence, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Lead and oversee all nursing department operations. Supervise, coach, and support RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and CNAs. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. Prepare for and participate in state surveys. Monitor quality measures, infection prevention, and clinical outcomes. Oversee staffing, scheduling, and labor management. Collaborate with the Administrator, Medical Director, and interdisciplinary team. Review clinical documentation, audits, and care plans. Investigate incidents and implement corrective action plans. Recruit, hire, train, and mentor nursing staff. Foster a positive work environment focused on resident-centered care. Qualifications Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Minimum 3 years of Director of Nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (required). Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, Texas nursing home regulations, and survey process. Experience with Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI), infection control, and clinical compliance. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
