In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating sit-down forklifts and other heavy equipment to efficiently load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. 4am-4pm + Saturdays 8hrs $20hr please call or text 951.643.3540 for more details Duties Safely operate sit-down forklifts Manage order picking using warehouse management systems and manual handling techniques to fulfill customer orders accurately. Load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring proper placement on pallets or racks for optimal storage and retrieval. Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on forklift equipment to maintain safety standards and operational efficiency. Assist with shipping & receiving processes by verifying shipment contents, updating inventory records, and documenting movement of goods. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials, managing stock levels, and maintaining a clean work environment. Follow OSHA safety standards in production areas, adhering to manual handling protocols and heavy lifting guidelines to prevent injuries. Experience Proven experience operating sit-down forklifts (including Hi-Lo, clamp trucks) in a warehouse or distribution setting. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking, inventory control, and shipping documentation. Knowledge of warehouse safety standards such as OSHA regulations related to heavy equipment operation and manual handling. Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and troubleshooting forklift issues promptly. Prior experience in warehouse supervision or materials handling roles is a plus but not required. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and shipment documentation. Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures along with experience using pallet jacks or load & unload equipment.
