REQUIRED M-F 8AM-5PM - STEEL TOE SHOES REQUIRED

The key responsibilities of a forklift operator include driving sit-down and stand-up forklifts , moving hazardous materials , maintaining a clean work area , pallet building and pallet picks , loading goods onto conveyer belts , stacking crates, pallets, lumber, or other materials , and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods . Additionally, forklift operators are responsible for following safety regulations and company guidelines , checking that loads are centered and properly stacked , and determining when repairs need to be made on equipment . Requirements and Operator To be a successful forklift operator, one needs to have previous warehouse experience , prior experience as a forklift operator , forklift or heavy machinery certification , and a valid driver's license . Forklift operators should also have excellent hand-eye coordination , peripheral vision , and ability with spatial relationships , as well as attention to detail and good physical condition . Furthermore, forklift operators should be able to lift 50 pounds and have working knowledge of basic tools and vehicle maintenance .
