40 Hours per Week Skillforce is currently hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for a shop job in Shelbyville, KY. The ideal candidate will have previous forklift experience, be comfortable working in a shop or industrial environment, and have a strong focus on safety and productivity. Key Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the shop and work areas Transport structural steel, materials, and equipment as needed Safely position and organize materials for production and fabrication Inspect forklift and equipment before use and report any maintenance or safety concerns Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Assist shop personnel with material handling and production needs Work effectively with team members to meet production schedules and project deadlines Requirements Previous forklift operating experience in a shop, warehouse, or industrial environment Ability to safely operate a forklift while handling heavy materials Experience moving and staging steel or other large materials is preferred Ability to follow directions and safety procedures Strong attention to detail and situational awareness Ability to work overtime as needed and maintain reliable attendance Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including drug testing and background check Reliable transportation Strong work ethic and commitment to workplace safety Benefits 401(k) Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Referral Program If you are an experienced Forklift Operator looking for steady work in a shop environment, apply today!
