  • Job Description
  • This role supports a medical device distribution facility by accurately handling, moving, and preparing life-saving surgical implants for shipment.

You will perform a mix of material handling, order picking and packing, forklift operation, and general warehouse tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The position is physically active, requires extensive walking and time on your feet, and plays a critical part in ensuring the correct products reach healthcare providers on time.

  • Responsibilities
  • + Operate forklifts, including reach trucks, order pickers, and sit-down lifts, to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently.

+ Perform order picking and packing activities, ensuring the correct items, quantities, and lot numbers are selected and prepared for shipment.

+ Use RF scan guns to scan, track, and verify inventory and orders within the warehouse management system.

+ Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels and identify discrepancies.

+ Verify orders against documentation to ensure accuracy before shipping, minimizing errors with critical medical device implants.

+ Break down boxes, dispose of packaging materials, and perform housekeeping tasks to keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.

+ Handle general labor and material handling duties, including loading, staging, and organizing products in designated areas.

+ Use WMS and SAP systems for basic data entry related to inventory, orders, and shipping activities.

+ Follow all facility rules and safety procedures, including restrictions on personal devices and headphones on the floor.

+ Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily operational goals and support a strong, team-oriented culture.

+ Adapt to potential changes in processes and equipment as the facility moves toward increased automation in the future.

  • Essential Skills
  • + Proven experience in distribution and warehouse operations, including material handling and general labor tasks.

+ Hands-on experience as a picker and packer, with a strong focus on order accuracy and timely fulfillment.

+ Ability to operate forklifts, specifically reach trucks, order pickers, and sit-down forklifts, in a warehouse environment.

+ Experience performing cycle counting and inventory audits to support accurate stock management.

+ Proficiency using RF scan guns for order picking, inventory tracking, and verification.

+ Basic familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and SAP, including data entry for inventory and orders.

+ Strong attention to detail, with the ability to minimize errors when handling and shipping critical medical products.

+ Consistent and reliable work history demonstrating dependability and commitment.

+ Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Experience in shipping and receiving operations, including loading and order verification. + Comfort working with technology such as RF scanners, WMS, and SAP in day-to-day warehouse tasks. + Ability to adapt to process changes and new equipment as the facility implements automation. + Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to meeting shared goals.

  • Work Environment
  • This role is based in a climate-controlled, very clean, and well-organized warehouse that distributes medical device implants.

The facility operates on a shift from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with a requirement to be open to working on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Saturday shifts typically start around 5:00 a.m. and run until approximately 12:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m., with the possibility of starting earlier or staying later as needed. The work is team-oriented, with a strong focus on culture and cooperation. The position involves extensive walking and time on your feet, as well as regular use of forklifts (reach truck, order picker, sit-down), RF scan guns, and warehouse systems such as WMS and SAP. For safety and security reasons, personal cell phones are not allowed inside the building, and headphones are not permitted on the floor; lockers are provided for personal belongings, though availability may vary.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $19.

00 - $19.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
