Job Summary As a Material Handler with Hickey Metal Fabrication, you will move, store and track inventory in fabrication and warehouse facilities. This position is responsible for loading/unloading shipments of materials. Ensuring materials reach proper production or shipping, focusing on efficiency, organization, and safety by following procedures. You will be handling parts from pallets, trucks, containers, totes and boxes. You will be responsible for selecting, counting, and maintaining inventory. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts including reach trucks, lift trucks, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, Hi-Lo, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse. Manage inventory using warehouse management systems and barcode scanning tools to track materials accurately. Pick orders using order picker equipment and manual handling techniques to fulfill production and shipping requirements. Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols. Conduct routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs promptly to ensure optimal operation of all machinery. Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments against documentation and maintaining accurate records. Support warehouse distribution operations by organizing storage areas, managing stock levels, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Skills Proven experience operating reach trucks, forklift trucks (including lift trucks), pallet jacks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo equipment, and barcode scanning systems. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management practices, and warehouse distribution processes. Familiarity with OSHA regulations, forklift safety protocols, manual handling techniques, heavy lifting procedures, and safety standards in production environments. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to inventory counts and measurements accurately. Experience in shipping & receiving operations along with order picking using various equipment such as pickers. Skilled in materials handling equipment operation including heavy equipment operation for efficient warehouse flow. Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team or independently while maintaining safety standards. Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
