Material Handler Forklift Operator (2nd Shift)

Job Description

Summary/Objective
  • After the appropriate label has been printed and attached to the container the material handler must secure the finished product.
  • After bin has been labeled the bin must be placed in the appropriate location in the warehouse using a forklift or appropriate lift truck.
  • Load & unload trucks with finished goods, containers, or components Essential Functions
  • Must be a member of the spill team and available for chemical unloads
  • Must be able to safely operator tow motor and stand up reach truck
  • Load and unload all inbound and outbound materials
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment in a safe manner. Complete all required and necessary safety checks.
  • Maintain the housekeeping and 3S activities of the docks, warehouse, receiving and all storage and shipping areas.
  • Insure correct placement of finished goods in warehouse (FIFO)
  • Insure all documentation is complete and accurate
  • Pull and stage and label all shipments accurately. Use bar code scanner as required.
  • Keep each line stocked with appropriate packing supplies.
  • Using FIFO rotation, keep all components stocked on line by shift and in proper component area
  • Remove Seat Line Scrap bins and dispose in recycle trailer
  • Band and move cardboard for recycling to recycle trailer

Trustworthiness and Ethical Practices 2. Decision Making 3. Communication Work Environment This job operates in a plant floor environment. Able to operator forklift. Occasionally use standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee will sit for majority of day; walk, climb stairs. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Must be able to drive forklift for six (6) hours or more each day. Must be able to get on and off forklift. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Weekday and Weekend overtime is possible. Travel Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected. Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a license to operator a forklift or at least one (1) year experience operating like equipment, and able to obtain an ACA forklift operator's license.
  • Must be available to work scheduled overtime as required

$18.77
