Job Description

Overview Kudzu Staffing is seeking a dedicated Forklift Driver to join our logistics and warehouse operations team at a leading distribution facility. This role involves operating various types of material handling equipment to efficiently load, unload, and organize inventory within the warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, safety protocols, and equipment operation, ensuring smooth and safe logistics flow. Responsibilities Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments safely and efficiently. Manage inventory movement using barcode scanning technology and warehouse management systems to ensure accurate stock levels. Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping & receiving processes to support timely distribution. Perform routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment such as forklifts and other material handling tools to maintain operational safety. Follow OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols diligently during all operations. Handle manual tasks involving heavy lifting and materials handling while adhering to proper ergonomic practices. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock locations, conducting inventory counts, and updating records. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage space and improve workflow efficiency. Ensure compliance with all safety standards in production environments and participate in safety training sessions regularly. Experience Proven experience operating forklifts. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning for logistics operations. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, inventory management practices, and materials handling techniques. Experience in warehouse supervision or team leadership is a plus. Understanding of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and general warehouse safety standards. Ability to perform basic math calculations essential for inventory counting and order processing. Prior experience with equipment repair or maintenance is advantageous but not mandatory. Demonstrated ability to lift heavy loads safely while maintaining proper manual handling techniques. Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including order picking, load & unload procedures, and heavy equipment operation. This role is vital for maintaining efficient logistics operations within our facility. Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 50.0 per week
