Overview Join our dynamic logistics team as a Forklift Operator and Material Handler, where your energy and precision will drive our warehouse operations forward! In this vital role, you will operate forklifts to load, unload, and organize inventory. Your expertise will ensure safe, accurate order picking, shipping, and receiving processes while maintaining optimal inventory levels. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced distribution environment that values safety, efficiency, and teamwork. Duties Safely operate forklifts in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards. Load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and order pickers while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct inventory management tasks including barcode scanning for logistics accuracy, stock counting, and updating warehouse management systems (WMS). Pick orders accurately using manual handling techniques and order picker equipment to fulfill customer orders efficiently. Assist in warehouse distribution activities by organizing inventory on pallets and racks for easy access and shipment readiness. Perform routine equipment repairs or promptly report maintenance needs to ensure optimal operation of all heavy-lifting machinery. Maintain a clean, organized workspace by following warehouse safety standards in production areas and ensuring materials are stored securely. Requirements Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning technology, shipping & receiving procedures, and inventory control practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following manual handling guidelines. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards in production environments and forklift safety protocols. Previous warehouse experience with a focus on materials handling or distribution is highly preferred.
