Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Production Batch Maker / Forklift Operator to join our dynamic production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately measuring, weighing, mixing, and blending raw materials according to established formulas and production requirements, and require safely operating forklifts and production equipment within our facility. This position plays an important role in producing quality finished products while maintaining a safe clean, efficient production environment and requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lift materials weighing up to 50lbs, walking or standing for extended periods
• Review production formulas, read and follow production schedules
• Review batch tickets and recipes to determine the exact ingredients and quantities required.
• Retrieve, weigh, and measure raw materials accurately using scales and meters.
• Safely operate mixing tanks, agitators, pumps, blenders, and reactors.
• Package finished materials according to product specifications and guidelines.
• Collect samples during production and work with Quality Control to verify product specifications, including color, consistency, pH and weight.
• Sanitize tanks, lines, pumps, equipment, and work areas between batches and maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Operate forklifts to move materials throughout the facility.
• Load and unload products from trucks and containers efficiently and safely.
• Assist in production, ensuring accuracy in documentation and inventory levels.
• Perform routine inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with team members to build pallets and prepare orders for shipment.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in production operations, and in forklift operation. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. A valid forklift operator certification is preferred but not mandatory; must have at least 2 years of experience operating a forklift Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
