Hawk Logistics is looking for a versatile Fleet Mechanic to join our Grapevine, TX terminal — someone who's just as comfortable turning a wrench on a truck or trailer as they are running a forklift. This is a hands-on, hybrid role: your primary focus is truck and trailer maintenance and repair, and when mechanic work slows down, you'll shift over to loading and unloading trailers on the forklift, keeping the forklifts themselves maintained, and helping keep the warehouse and terminal grounds in good working order. What You'll Do Perform scheduled PM (preventive maintenance) services on semi trucks and trailers Diagnose and repair truck and trailer systems: brakes, suspension, electrical, lighting, and more Repair and replace tires on trucks and trailers Maintain and service the terminal's forklifts Operate a forklift to load and unload trailers when mechanic workload allows Handle general facility maintenance around the warehouse and terminal (not a management role —hands-on upkeep of the grounds, equipment, and building) Keep accurate maintenance and repair records Follow DOT compliance standards on every truck and trailer that leaves the yard What You Bring Experience as a truck and/or trailer mechanic — diesel and trailer systems Tire repair and replacement experience Forklift experience preferred; willing to train and certify the right candidate Comfortable switching between mechanic work and warehouse/forklift duties as workload requires Own tools for the trade Valid driver's license (CDL a plus, not required) English and Russian bilingual is a plus, but not required Reliable, shows up, works clean, communicates when something's wrong What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Full-time, steady work — 40-50 hours/week, overtime paid at time and a half Health, vision, dental, and life insurance 401(k) Paid time off A shop that backs its mechanics with the parts, tools, and time needed to do the job right Growth opportunity as the fleet and terminal grow About Hawk Logistics Hawk Logistics LLC is an asset-based carrier running 80+ trucks and 150+ trailers out of two terminals — Vancouver, WA and Grapevine, TX — with over 100,000 sq ft of warehouse capacity.
