The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely loading, unloading, moving, and organizing freight throughout the warehouse. The ideal candidate has hands-on forklift experience, understands basic warehouse operations and safety procedures, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment. This position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, move, and stage freight. Load and unload trucks and containers as needed. Move pallets and freight to designated warehouse locations. Assist with receiving, put-away, picking, staging, and outbound shipping. Verify quantities and freight information against shipping and receiving documents. Use warehouse management systems (WMS), scanners, or other warehouse equipment as required. Maintain organized and safe storage areas throughout the warehouse. Perform daily forklift inspections and report any equipment or maintenance issues. Follow all company safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements. Assist with general warehouse duties when needed. Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members to ensure efficient daily operations. Requirements Previous forklift operating experience required. Ability to safely operate forklifts in a warehouse environment. Experience loading and unloading trucks and containers preferred. Basic knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory handling, and shipping/receiving procedures. Experience with WMS or warehouse scanning systems is preferred but not required. Ability to perform physical warehouse work, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. Basic math and counting skills. Strong attention to detail and safety. Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively in a warehouse environment. Work Environment This position is performed primarily in a warehouse environment and may involve working around forklifts, trucks, loading docks, and other warehouse equipment. The position requires regular physical activity and movement throughout the workday.

Pay:

From $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 18.0 per week
