Forklift Operator Job Description This role involves operating forklifts to handle high-end treadmills and other materials, performing shipping and receiving tasks, and completing general warehouse duties in a clean and organized manufacturing environment. You will safely maneuver a sit-down forklift through tight spaces, manage inventory, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds while supporting efficient warehouse operations. Responsibilities Operate sit-down forklifts to move, load, and unload high-end treadmills and other materials safely and efficiently. Maneuver a sit-down forklift through tight and confined spaces while maintaining a high level of safety and accuracy. Perform shipping and receiving responsibilities, including loading and unloading trucks and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments. Handle materials throughout the warehouse, including picking, packing, and staging orders for shipment. Execute order picking tasks accurately to ensure correct products and quantities are prepared for customers. Assist with general labor duties such as organizing products, cleaning work areas, and maintaining a neat and orderly warehouse. Support inventory activities by handling products carefully and helping to maintain accurate stock levels. Use both sit-down and stand-up forklifts as needed to complete daily tasks. Lift up to 40 pounds occasionally in the course of handling materials and equipment. Follow all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines to protect people, products, and equipment. Essential Skills At least 1 years of forklift experience within a manufacturing setting. Proficiency operating sit-down forklifts, including maneuvering through tight spaces. Experience with material handling in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes. Ability to perform loading and unloading tasks safely and efficiently. Experience with picking and packing orders. Capability to perform general labor tasks in a warehouse setting. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally. Comfort working with both sit-down and stand-up forklifts. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a material handler in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Experience in order picking and packaging operations. Familiarity with inventory-related tasks and warehouse organization. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Why Work Here? Appropriate work attire suitable for a manufacturing and warehouse setting is expected to ensure safety and comfort throughout the shift. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Waukesha, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
