Boys and Girls Club of the Coastside (BGCC) is a deeply valued and trusted partner to families and institutions on the San Mateo County Coastside. BGCC envisions a Coastside where every young person is strong, engaged, valued and able to reach their full potential. Because when our young people thrive, so do we all. We have grown substantially in the last five years and are looking to expand our development team to ensure our future. We raise funds from four significant sources: program fees, grants, events, and individual gifts. We are seeking a relationship-focused Development Manager to help expand our individual and major gift fundraising program. The Development Manager partners closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, Development Committee and BGCC's staff to plan and execute resource development strategies to generate fundraising income specifically focused on increasing the number and size of gifts from individuals to BGCC. The Development Manager will be responsible for cultivating and soliciting gifts from individuals and corporations. Success in this role is built on cultivating meaningful relationships and representing BGCC throughout the Coastside community.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Partner with our Executive Director to implement resource development strategies related to individual and corporate donors. Expand and strengthen BGCC's pipeline of major and mid-major gift prospects. Create an updated prospect list based on wealth screening and current donor visits. Meet with individuals on our evolving prospect list. Partner with our Executive Director and Board Development Committee to finalize cultivation cycle activities for BGCC. Take the lead on execution of all activities related to key individual donors. Engage Board to accompany you on solicitation visits. Make 5 meaningful contacts each week. Ensure all contacts are updated in our shared donor database
Bloomerang.
Develop and supervise donor recognition and stewardship strategies and events. Collaborate with the Executive Director on additional development initiatives as mutually agreed upon.
