The individual will:

Be a self-starter with the ability to exercise sound judgement, reach sound conclusions, and use discretion; Be creative with vision; Possess initiative to coordinate membership benefits and communicate with members for successful retention; and Work comfortably in a team environment to create and improve services for members and nonmembers. The Membership Manager is an exempt position expected to work 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday with an hour lunch each day (40-hour work week). The Director's supervisor will be the Executive Director and will be asked to work with other staff to accomplish goals. Some travel is required. Office is based in Tallahassee and will consider remote work with in-person preferred.

Responsibility Areas :

MEMBERSHIP

Be able to communicate with any school administrator about the value of FASA membership. Develop recruitment plans and plan to attend various state conferences to share information about FASA membership. Work with Marketing Manager for successful launch of recruitment and retention campaigns. Recruitment efforts throughout the year to those former members that dropped/moved to other districts. Be prepared to discuss member data charts on a regular basis for total members renewed, new members, by regions, job titles, member types, and national memberships. Update Board and Committee members with this data as needed Coordinate membership renewal plans to have communications and invoices sent on time. Respond to inquiries regarding membership. Work with Professional Learning Districts to renew or start partnership with FASA, and coordinate with Event Manager for planning events. Ensure member data is up-to-date and accurate Prepare monthly member dues reports to national organizations Attend FASA Discover Conference to talk with leaders individually or as a group about membership value.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

Serve as the staff liaison to the Committee and plan agenda with the Chairperson, share membership data, and prepare committee assignments as needed. Responsible for minutes of the meetings and sending them out to committee members after each meeting. Assign members of the Membership Committee to call, email or mail a card to new members for a personalized welcome. Coordinate dates for regional events and give them to Events Manager for planning.

OTHER:

Maintain budget expectations for line items impacted directly. Work with the Executive Director to engage members in volunteer roles and committee assignments. Serve as the staff liaison as assigned to boards or committees and submit minutes to Executive Director. Update board and committee assignments and terms in the database. Assist Executive Director with membership related materials needed for meetings and events Perform other duties as assigned.
