Full Job Description Development & Fundraising Manager Village Reach Preferred:
Lexington (Local candidates strongly encouraged) , Part-Time (~10 hrs/week, Year-Round) OR Contract (3-Month Pilot)
Compensation:
$750/month base + performance bonuses, with option to support-raise up to $1,250/month total About Village Reach Village Reach is an international nonprofit on a mission to equip ordinary people with extraordinary ideas, helping them launch and grow community-serving businesses that sow hope, create change, and spark lasting impact in communities around the world. We believe in long-term impact, relational leadership, and stewardship of people, resources, and vision. We currently operate in Cambodia, India, Colombia, & Liberia while having HQ in Lexington, KY. As we grow, we are seeking a results-driven Development & Fundraising Manager to help us fund our mission sustainably and boldly. The Role This role is for someone who doesn't just plan fundraisers—but executes them successfully. You will own Village Reach's fundraising strategy and implementation, with a particular focus on: One major annual in-person fundraising event in Lexington, KY Several smaller digital and relational fundraising campaigns throughout the year Key Responsibilities Fundraising Strategy & Planning Develop and execute a comprehensive annual fundraising plan Design fundraising campaigns that are creative, compelling, and donor-centered Set realistic but ambitious fundraising targets in collaboration with leadership Event Leadership (Major Focus) Lead planning and execution of one major annual fundraising event in Lexington Coordinate vendors, timelines, donors, sponsors, and volunteers Drive ticket sales, sponsorships, and donor engagement Ensure the event produces strong net revenue Digital & Ongoing Campaigns Plan and execute smaller digital campaigns throughout the year Support donor appeals, giving pushes, and storytelling initiatives Identify opportunities for recurring giving and donor retention Donor Development Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners Help move donors from one-time givers to long-term supporters Track donor engagement and fundraising performance Meet regularly with our Dreamers around the world to understand their businesses' needs and inform fundraising priorities and materials Accountability & ROI Track campaign results and report outcomes clearly Evaluate what's working and refine strategies accordingly Operate with strong stewardship of donor funds and organizational resources Who You Are You are likely someone who: Thrives in ownership rather than being told exactly what to do Is organized, proactive, and execution-focused Communicates clearly and follows through Is energized by building something—not just maintaining it Values integrity, transparency, and mission alignment Local candidates are preferred due to the event-based nature of the role, but exceptional remote candidates with strong event-planning experience will be considered. Role Structure Options We are open to two formats: Option 1: Contract (3-Month Pilot) Ideal for testing fit and performance Clear fundraising goals and deliverables Opportunity to transition into a longer-term role Option 2: Part-Time (Year-Round) Ongoing ownership of fundraising strategy and execution Deeper integration into the Village Reach team Long-term growth potential as the organization scales Compensation This is a part-time role (~10 hours/week) with a guaranteed base of $750/month , paid by Village Reach regardless of fundraising outcomes.
In addition:
Performance bonuses are available for hitting specific event/campaign targets (flat amounts tied to clear goals, not a percentage of funds raised). Candidates may support-raise up to an additional $500/month (bringing total possible compensation to $1,250/month). Any funds raised beyond this amount go directly toward Village Reach's general operations and mission. Candidates interested in raising — and earning — more than this cap are welcome to discuss committing to additional weekly hours during the interview process.
To be clear:
the $750/month base is guaranteed and not contingent on fundraising results. Support-raising above that amount is optional and self-directed.
