Job Description

SUMMARY The Database Manager is responsible for the management, integrity, maintenance, and strategic use of the Sholom Foundation fundraising database, including Blackbaud Raiser's Edge and RE NXT. This position supports fundraising operations, donor stewardship, reporting, financial reconciliation, gift processing, prospect tracking, and data analytics. The role works closely with development, finance, marketing, and leadership staff to ensure accurate donor records, reporting, and operational support that strengthen fundraising and donor engagement efforts.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and administer Blackbaud Raiser's Edge and RE NXT databases. Ensure the accuracy, consistency, security, and integrity of donor and constituent records. Perform regular audits and data cleanup, including duplicate management and coding consistency. Maintain accurate donor, prospect, corporate, foundation, and endowment fund records. Create and manage queries, exports, reports, dashboards, mailing lists, and fundraising analytics. Produce reports related to campaigns, donor giving history, pledge tracking, endowment reporting, donor segmentation, and board presentations. Support annual campaigns, fundraising events, stewardship activities, and donor communications through accurate reporting and segmentation. Coordinate semi-annual endowment fund reports and updates to donors and fund holders. Assist with donor recognition tracking, historical records, and stewardship reporting. Work collaboratively with development, finance, marketing, and administrative staff to support fundraising operations and donor engagement efforts. Support various other fundraising responsibilities as needed.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education, Experience and Credentials Minimum of 3-5 years of nonprofit database management experience. Strong hands-on experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge and RE NXT required. Experience with gift processing, donor records management, reconciliation, and reporting. Experience with donor analytics, prospect research, planned giving, or endowment fundraising preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Advanced proficiency with queries, exports, reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of fundraising operations and donor stewardship practices. Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail. Able to display high levels of customer service, responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquiries and needs of individuals both internal and external to the organization in accordance with our PROUD standards.
