Job Description

Job Summary:
The Assistant/Associate Director, Corporate & Foundation Relations will support the goals of the Executive Director for Corporate & Foundation Relations (ED CFR) in support of institutional priorities through prospect research and development of letters of interest, proposals, and grant applications. The position will assist in growing the donor population through discovery, qualification and solicitation. The position assists in the management of donor stewardship and engagement which includes preparing door impact reports, and pre- and post-award contract compliance.

Required Skills & Experience:
Grants Management Program (50%) Manage reporting and solicitation calendar for new and existing donors. Ensure reporting requirements, proposal requirements, and deadlines are met. Manage database tracking and reporting system for pipeline and open proposals for the CFR team. Work with internal colleagues to gather all necessary data for proposals and reports. Work with internal colleagues to gather all necessary data for proposals and reports. Assist with stewardship and engagement activities relating to the CFR pipeline. Utilize donor database (RE7/NXT) to help track pre- and post-award compliance deadlines and deliverables, produce needed reporting and maintain accurate donor records. Fundraising (50%) Assist the ED CFR to secure new commitments annually Identify and research existing and new corporate and foundation prospects Prepare, write and submit letters of interest, proposals and reports, ensuring alignment with the funder's priorities, institutional needs and compliance in collaboration with the ED CFR. Assist with corporate sponsorship mailing and follow-up for annual Scholarship Gala. Attend and assist team members at all events. Help steward existing corporate and foundation relationships Proactively develop RE7/NXT technical skills
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited, four-year institution is required. Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional field (fundraising, sales, project management, etc.), preferably in a higher education institution or non-profit. Strong project management and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong customer service skills. Goal-oriented work ethic Experience in accurately maintaining a donor database Experience or basic understanding of how to conduct online research. Knowledge of fundraising, alumni relations, communications, or a related field required. Experience working in a university or similar organizations preferred; preference is for experience in the areas of advancement or customer service-related position.
