Tomlin Strategies values integrity, clear communication, and measurable results in all projects. Role Description The Development Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Philadelphia, PA. This position supports client-focused development and fundraising initiatives, including preparing donor outreach materials, assisting with proposals and grant applications, and maintaining accurate records in databases or CRM systems. The Development Associate conducts research on prospective donors, trends, and opportunities; analyzes data to inform strategy; and helps coordinate meetings, events, and follow-up communications. The role involves collaborating closely with senior team members, drafting clear reports and presentations, and managing timelines and task lists to ensure projects are completed on schedule. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to collaborate with colleagues and engage effectively with clients and donors. Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Research capabilities to evaluate data, identify fundraising opportunities, and support strategy development. Candidates should possess foundational Fundraising knowledge or experience, including supporting campaigns, donor stewardship, and proposal or grant preparation. Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, presentation software) and familiarity with CRM or donor databases is beneficial. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience, is preferred. Interest in the nonprofit and philanthropic sector, a commitment to ethical practices, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team are highly valued.
