As a Sales Management Trainee , you will participate in a paid training program designed to develop your skills in client acquisition, relationship management, business development, sales, and leadership. You will learn how to identify client needs, provide tailored solutions, build lasting relationships, and develop a strong and sustainable book of business. Responsibilities Build and develop relationships with prospective and existing clients through referrals, networking, outbound outreach, and scheduled appointments. Conduct needs-based consultations to understand each client's goals, priorities, and concerns. Present customized solutions in a clear, professional, and consultative manner. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships through consistent communication, follow-up, and exceptional service. Identify and pursue new business opportunities throughout Gadsden and surrounding communities. Manage an active pipeline of prospects, appointments, applications, and follow-up activities. Maintain accurate client information and complete all required documentation in a timely manner. Participate in ongoing training and coaching focused on sales strategy, product knowledge, compliance, leadership, and business development. Represent the Mitchell Agency professionally through local networking, marketing initiatives, and community involvement. Work toward established performance goals while taking ownership of personal and professional development. Develop leadership skills and prepare for future management opportunities through strong performance, accountability, and initiative. Qualifications Previous experience in sales, customer service, business development, hospitality, or account management is helpful but not required. Strong communication, listening, and relationship-building skills. Professional, trustworthy, and client-focused approach. Self-motivated with the ability to manage time, appointments, and priorities effectively. Comfortable communicating with new people by phone, virtually, and in person. Competitive mindset with a willingness to work toward measurable goals. Coachable, adaptable, and eager to learn new skills. Basic proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and digital client-management tools. Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a plus. Reliable transportation and the ability to meet with clients throughout the local area. Ability to complete any required licensing, background screening, and onboarding requirements.
