A leader that will work side by side with their team and customers. Developing staff, training, motivating them to improve their skills to serve our customers. Must have great patients, goal setter, undersgtands performance metrics and accountability that goes with them and budgets The manager will lead the daily operations. Must have the ability to make quick decisions, problem solver, m otivator, self discplined. Tremendous customer service skills in working with your customer base. Have great initiative to grow the school, be creative and always pushing to be better. The General Manager trains and develops staff provides exceptional customer service, handles customer concerns. You will work hands on with the Staff. Creating a high-energy, motivating experience for everyone who comes to our school. Gives the staff direction, solves problems and shows leadership. Managing and motivating your team is a key piece to your success. Most of your staff is PT. Creating a place that is fun to work, full of energy and most important everyone's focus is on the kids learning to swim. This is not just an admin job handing out assignments, you have to work with your team, teaching them the skills needed to do their job, interact with customers and even develop lessons. The right person must be a self driven person who works towards goals and growth. Main accountabilities include, but are not limited to: Leading the Swim School team in successful day-to-day operations while creating a culture people thrive in. Identifying talent, interviewing, and hiring new staff handles personnel decisions regarding the staff, including recegnition, motivation, discipline and terminations. Training and developing all Staff (a Big part of the job) Increasing student enrollment and maintaining a budget Handling phone calls Speaking to potential new customers about our service, giving tours, etc... Observing and coaching instructors on their swim lessons Being able to teach lessons when necessary interacting with Customers about their lessons, services, etc... Accountable for performing administrative duties including payroll, inventory, billing, proper cash handling, scheduling, etc. Leading by example and being a role model of the standards and behaviors consistent with Aqua-Tot's core values and culture. Successfully communicating company changes/focus to the team Ensuring that safety and security standards are emphasized and adhered to and that employees are trained to ensure no unsafe situations Maintaining a clean facility with excellent customer service Responsible for marketing opportunities, grassroots marketing, and company events. Knowledge/Skills Ability to develop positive working relationships with all personnel Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to customers and employees Knowledge of and the ability to use a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, ability to adapt and succeed in a fast-paced environm Self Driven and strong work ethics Be a creative thinker, make quick decisions, Problem Solver and Multi-Task Work experience in a supervisory role and customer service experience a must. Training and development helpful While the schedule can vary some, but usually is four weekdays and Saturday half day. Most of our swim lessons are between 4 pm and 7:30 pm and the GM needs to be there most that time. If you like to be interactive, moving around, working with a team side by side, helping individuals grow and develop. If you have the work ethic and understand as the GM you are accountable for all aspects of the school.
