Executive Job Summary:
Responsible for the overall operations of the assigned division, as well as management, planning, and development responsibilities. Collaborates closely with the executive team to ensure successful achievement of all the organization's operational goals and strategic plans. As a Vice President at Owensboro Health, you serve as a strategic leader responsible for shaping system-wide priorities, driving transformational initiatives, and ensuring alignment with our mission, values, and long-term goals. You champion our Safety Culture and ensure equity and accountability across all service lines. You lead with vision to advance clinical, operational, and financial performance.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Authority over the strategic goals, plans, and standards for the division and ensures they are consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. Provides visionary leadership for all division operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management to achieve performance and quality control objectives. Oversees division's leadership with staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, corrective actions, and continuing education initiatives. Monitors and evaluates division's department budgets and ensures that all entities operate in compliance with allocated funding. Ensures internal and external audits are conducted by division's leaders. Develops new business opportunities in the communities served in collaboration with the system executive team and the Board. Establishes strategic plans for fiscal and operational outcomes. Builds relationships and communicates effectively with all levels of employees as well as the Board and community leaders.

  • Identifies and addresses conflicts within the team, facilitating constructive dialogue, and finding solutions to disagreements. Change Management
  • Involved in implementing organizational change initiatives. Able to effectively manage resistance, communicating change effectively, and foster a culture of adaptability within their teams. Leadership Development
  • Actively engages in the Leadership Development Program by enrolling in the program within the first 6 months of employment and completing the program within the first 2 years of employment. Workforce Safety Statement

Position Requirements:
Work Experience A minimum of 10 years' relevant experience as determined by the organization Education Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field required upon hire. Additional Education Information A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Licensure/Certification/Registration No licensure/certification/registration required
