Job Description

WoofPack Pet Care is a leading pet sitting service dedicated to providing exceptional care for our clients' furry family members. We offer a range of services, including pet sitting, dog walking, and overnight care. Our team is passionate about animals and committed to ensuring the well-being of pets while their owners are away. We are seeking an organized, dependable Assistant Manager to support our day-to-day operations, hiring efforts, and pet-care team. This is a home-based position, but it is NOT a fully remote or work-from-anywhere position. This position requires regular local availability for in-person meetings, employee training and evaluations, and backup pet-sitting or dog-walking assignments. Candidates should live within or very near our service area , which currently includes Southwest Wake County and Northwest Harnett County. Key Responsibilities Manage client and employee scheduling and respond to scheduling-related requests. Assist with the hiring process, including reviewing applications and resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting first-round interviews. Coordinate new-hire onboarding, training, employee evaluations, and visit-report audits. Maintain and audit client key and lockbox inventory. Provide guidance and support to pet sitters as needed. Serve as a backup pet sitter or dog walker when coverage is needed or emergencies arise. Attend required in-person meetings, training, and field activities. Qualifications Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to professionally evaluate and communicate with job candidates. Good judgment when reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and assessing candidate suitability. Ability to conduct structured, professional first-round interviews and provide clear feedback to management. Excellent customer-service skills. Ability to work independently from home while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Comfortable using scheduling software, technology, and social media platforms. Comfortable working with pets of different species, breeds, and sizes. Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout our local service area. Ability and willingness to perform pet-sitting and dog-walking duties when needed. Previous experience with interviewing, hiring, supervision, pet care, or customer service is preferred. The Assistant Manager may need to provide backup pet-care coverage involving multiple visits in the same day, participate in field training, conduct employee evaluations, or attend other in-person activities. For that reason, candidates should live close enough to our Southwest Wake County/Northwest Harnett County service area to reasonably perform these responsibilities when needed. This position is not suitable for someone seeking a fully remote position or someone who would have a significant commute into our service area. Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 30.0 per week
