The Open Door of New Jersey is seeking an experienced and motivated Executive Director to oversee the daily operations of the agency and provide strong leadership to staff while fostering positive relationships with individuals served, families, guardians, and community partners. Key Responsibilities Oversee the agency's day-to-day operations and programs. Provide leadership, supervision, organization, and problem-solving for staff. Enforce agency policies, procedures, and employee handbook requirements. Conduct and participate in staff performance meetings and disciplinary processes. Monitor compliance with Office of Licensing (OOL), Medicaid, DDD, and Supports Manual requirements. Conduct regular audits of residential, day program, bookstore, and supportive employment programs. Oversee documentation, including Therap, T-Logs, shift notes, and critical information. Monitor consumer medical appointments, Medicaid/Social Security requirements, and related documentation. Coordinate admissions, discharges, IDT meetings, and consumer-specific meetings. Oversee staff scheduling, timecards, overtime, and agency expenses. Work closely with HR on hiring, onboarding, training, and employee compliance. Maintain personnel records and ensure required background checks and certifications are current. Communicate with guardians and assist with investigations and unusual incident reporting. Oversee facility and vehicle maintenance and coordinate necessary repairs. Manage agency resources and assist with budgeting and financial oversight. Participate in meetings with administration, legal representatives, insurance providers, contractors, and other outside professionals. Promote consumer rights, independence, and meaningful community involvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related/equivalent field. 5+ years of executive-level experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer and budgeting skills. Ability to effectively manage agency resources and multiple programs. Employment Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age . Valid New Jersey driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Must successfully complete required background checks, CARI, fingerprinting, and drug screening. Must meet all applicable Department of Human Services and Office of Licensing requirements.
Pay:
$130,000.00 per year
