Position Summary:

The Executive Director serves as the chief administrative officer of the Sweetwater Housing Authority and is responsible for the overall leadership, management, administration, and day-to-day operations of the agency. The Executive Director provides leadership in the planning, organization, staffing, direction, coordination, and control of Housing Authority programs and operations. The position oversees a staff of approximately ten employees and has overall responsibility for the administration, management, maintenance, planning, and operation of 182 public housing units and 134 Section 8 New Construction units. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Commissioners and is responsible for carrying out the policies and objectives established by the Board while ensuring that Housing Authority programs are administered efficiently, responsibly, and in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
