Non-Exempt Position Summary The Coordinator is a grant-funded position responsible for coordinating the implementation of the Drug-Free Communities (DFC) grant by supporting coalition development, youth leadership, community prevention initiatives, and evidence-based programming. This position works collaboratively with schools, community organizations, law enforcement, healthcare providers, local governments, and other coalition partners to reduce youth substance use and strengthen protective factors throughout Santa Cruz County. Continued employment is contingent upon the availability of grant funding and satisfactory job performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate implementation of the DFC Strategic Action Plan and annual work plan. Organize and facilitate BRIDGE Coalition and BRIDGE Youth Coalition meetings, trainings, and activities. Recruit, engage, and maintain partnerships representing all 12 DFC community sectors. Coordinate youth leadership development, peer-led prevention campaigns, and service-learning projects. Plan and implement community prevention events, workshops, Take Back Days, town halls, parenting education, and substance-free activities. Coordinate outreach and prevention messaging through social media, radio, podcasts, newsletters, and community presentations. Support implementation of evidence-based prevention programs and environmental prevention strategies. Collect and maintain program data, participant records, surveys, and documentation required for grant compliance and evaluation. Prepare meeting agendas, summaries, reports, and other required grant documentation. Maintain effective working relationships with schools, community partners, and stakeholders. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other organizational activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Human Services, Criminal Justice, or a related field required; Minimum of two (2) years of experience in prevention, community outreach, coalition development, youth programming, or grant-funded programs. or High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in prevention, community outreach, coalition development, youth programming, grant-funded programs, or a closely related field in lieu of a bachelor's degree. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Valid Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of community-based prevention, youth development, coalition building, and evidence-based prevention strategies. Strong organizational, communication, facilitation, and public speaking skills. Ability to coordinate multiple projects, build collaborative partnerships, and meet grant deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and data collection systems. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for community meetings and prevention events. Compensation & Benefits Salary:
