6+ Month Contract (Extension or Permanent Conversion Potential Based on Performance) Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Associate / Forklift Operator to support warehouse and fulfillment operations. This role is responsible for inventory management, material handling, shipping and receiving, quality inspections, data entry, and safe operation of warehouse equipment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, and possesses excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Available Shifts B Shift:
Monday - Friday | 3:00 PM - 12:30 AM ResponsibilitiesInventory & Warehouse Operations Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments. Perform inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy. Support receiving, put-away, picking, kitting, packing, and shipping activities. Assign, store, and audit inventory in designated warehouse locations. Label, identify, and track materials throughout the fulfillment process. Sort, stage, and transport materials while ensuring proper handling and traceability. Equipment Operation Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, and electric pallet jacks (EPJs). Move and transport materials efficiently throughout warehouse and production areas. Conduct equipment inspections and follow all operational safety guidelines. Quality & Documentation Inspect incoming materials and shipments to ensure compliance with quality standards. Complete accurate documentation for receipts, inventory transactions, and work orders. Enter and maintain inventory data within warehouse management and inventory tracking systems. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure process consistency and compliance. Continuous Improvement Identify process improvements and operational inefficiencies. Escalate issues that may impact workflow, quality, or inventory accuracy. Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives. Contribute to maintaining a culture of operational excellence and accountability. Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in warehouse, fulfillment, logistics, inventory control, or distribution operations. Experience with receiving, inventory management, shipping, and material handling processes. Ability to operate forklifts or willingness to complete forklift training. Experience using inventory management systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), or similar software. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly. Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety protocols and PPE requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and inventory planning. Forklift certification or previous PIT equipment experience. Experience in high-volume fulfillment or manufacturing environments. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and root cause analysis.
