" Post Alarm Systems is an equal opportunity employer. The Inventory Specialist ensures the efficient management of all parts and equipment. Among the responsibilities are inventory accuracy, cycle counts, maintaining minimum/maximum levels, performing inventory audits/inspections, staging jobs for production, reconciling jobs, receiving goods and other duties as assigned. Essential Functions/Responsibilities Manage the integrity and cost of the entire inventory through standard operating procedures and various audits Reconcile inventory variances to maintain inventory record accuracy Direct and participate in physical inventories of warehouse and service vehicles Monitor system-generated data to identify errors in procedure and take corrective action Conduct cycle counts and research variances. Manage stock bins and rotations of stock by value, quantity, and usage Monitors product inventory levels to meet the balance of customer supply and asset management Perform parts/equipment issue at counter ensuring proper processes and accountability protocols are followed Maintain organization of stock and bins according to company policy and procedures Receive inbound shipments into inventory system accurately; inspect product for damage or defects. Perform quality control to determine if the product match with any existing stock of the same item. Issue inventory as specified in jobs/service tickets Accurate records of warehouse transactions Utilize company procedures and regulations to assign stock keeping unit (SKU) numbers when receiving a shipment. Maintain the inventory area in a clean and orderly manner Required Skills/Education Customer service skills Verbal/written communication skills The ability to multi-task Collaborative work environment Proficient with Microsoft Office High School Diploma Preferred Skills Experience with security and fire alarm systems Experience with ERP Lean/Six Sigma Degree/certification in Supply Chain Management
